Mount Cook

Although it was cloudy we still enjoyed our drive to Mount Cook! We were still left speechless at the vast beauty! The color of the water still just blows my mind every time! Unfortunately we did not get to see much of Mount Cook, we could maybe see a forth of it, and yet still felt tiny. Luke did get to fish a few spots but was only luky at one, at the lake in front of our first Airbnb! Luke did leave his finishing pole with me so I hope to make a few fishing stops of my own!

    Very cool! So beautiful.... glad you got to share your adventure with your mom and Luke. Your rugby videos are awesome! You are really killing it... your mom mentioned something about playing in Australia I think? Any team would be lucky to have you💗. Love you and think about you often.  January 25, 2025 I successfully drove today! It was not as bad as I had anticipated thankfully, and to get some driving practice in before attempting it in a manual car was helpful! I think it's more awkward watching the opposite driving from the outside then actually being the driver. There are many cute little cafes and delicious looking noodle places in town we look forward to trying! The best part of the day without a doubt was exploring The Public Gardens! The pictures will be able to speak for themselves but also don't quite do it justice.

Oamaru to Queenstown

I am back with great news! Right after I made my last post I got an email about a job! It was a position I had originally got turned down for but they had an injury on the team and reached out to check if I was still available! Sounds like they only need help for a month and maybe a couple extra weeks after but I will gladly take it! If it all goes well, they said they will reach out if they need any additional help while I am here. Next week I will start as a Vet Tech to assist a team for the teatsealing season so I will still get to work with cows too!! My wonderful mother found a program called Helpx, which is pretty much the same as WOOFing if you've ever heard me talk about that! For those of you that haven't, they are websites where you can connect with host people from all around the world! Day 1

San Fancisco 01/22/25  We have safely made it through the first couple flights and currently on our layover waiting to board the 14 hour flight to Christchurch New Zealand! At our first stop in Chicago we ate at the Billy Goat Pub and Grill (which we truly picked just because of the name of course)! I suppose they are known world wide and have their own hard seltzer called the Fizzy Goat! Everything was delicious and would for sure reccomend! This San Francisco airport is huge and we certainly made sure to get in plenty of steps! Ian and I were also extremely greatful for their outdoor terrace to finally get some fresh air! I am feeling a little nervous about entering New Zealand, which comes with the territory and I'm sure everything will be fine but there's still some worst case scenarios running through the back of my head, they do seem a tad bit more strict than the other countries I have visited. I do trust God has it all under control but obviously we will always welcome ...
