Fiordland National Park

Fiordland National Park was gorgeous and had plenty of pull offs to adventure, that is if you could see them in time to stop. There were river sides I could have just sat on for hours and still not been able to take it all in. We were a tad bummed that the weather wasn't a bit better but the clouds were a sight to see on their own. Some seemed so close it felt like you could reach out and touch them. Others hanging just perfectly, truly accentuating the depth of the mountian sides. This first picture is from Milford Sound, the scars you can see are from a tree avalanche which is one of the coolest things I've ever heard of. The plant life that manages to grow on the mountain sides is crazy enough on its own, and then to think of a whole strip of it tumbling down taking out everything in its path is just incredible!
